The waste and rubble generated from removing the wall...

Helen and Arabella looking at the mess...

Main Picture 1

The 'good' stone which came out of the wall and which we will recycle....note the very large upright stone on the far right....this was used above the fireplace....and looks a little bit like a tomb stone....is there a message here...???

29 March 2011 - Sunny day the roof comes off! This is the same roof the roof-light was removed from. Close-up of the old felt - doesn't look too bad here. Work also started on the "office" - must take some photos!

The wall section you can see at the back is the old chimney stack for the bread oven...

Main Picture 1

The ugly flat roof section above the window and the un-felted area where the roof-light used to be.

Main Picture 1

The gable end completely stripped. On top of the wall we found some old apothecary bottles and other glassware only two bottles were intact.

Main Picture 1

The entire side now stripped. Andy the roofer admiring his work. The weather took a turn for the worse at this point! HEAVY RAIN!

6 April 2011 - dormer built and slated, the roof is also starting to be slated. The other side has now been stripped.
